Interactive narratives are a powerful tool for delivering messages and encouraging exploration. 203F worked to create an interactive experience using the Sheridan Trafalgar Campus. Our story uses elements extracted from the Allegory of the cave to deliver a message we believe to be important. We strategically used a diverse selection of media platforms to engage, inform and inspire Sheridan students. We made it a point to find a way to deliver our message by making a real impact with concrete results.

Sheridan students have become used to a campus that is stuck in a loop. Students have no way of realizing how important their surroundings are. The Trafalgar campus is simply not an interesting place.

The Cameron House - Toronto
tenANTS. Symbolic of the buildings history and has become iconic imagery of the building. Surface level, yet contains a story behind it when you look far into it.



Havergal College - Toronto
Green wall on the campus. Peaceful sounds play and makes an otherwise boring space relaxing and notable.



Wall Street Bull - New York
Touching its balls is a tradition, nothing quite like that currently at Sheridan. Touching its balls is good luck, people do it but why? There is nothing telling them to touch its balls.
Student Learning Center (SLC) - Ryerson / TMU
What could have been a boring standard large building was given a special design. Each floor has a different theme that shapes the each floor looks. This makes the building so much more interesting than just floor 1, 2, 3 etc. Something as small as giving each floor its unique theme works to make this building far more special and interesting to spend time in. Our goal was to recreate the positive impact enhancing a space can create as seen with this building.

We will draw attention to these issues by captivating students with interactive installations that are engaging and exemplify the power of our surroundings. We aim to prove how important spaces by creating them for students to try and feel the benefit for themselves.
Students are led along an interactive story to uncover what RE-VIEW is trying to accomplish and along the way, realize just how important their surroundings are join us in thinking about how they can be improved.

RE-VIEW is the form that our message and project takes. It is the character that all of our work is delivered through. Having a character is important as it gives a “face” to the message being delivered. The identity also established the style of the elements ultimately tying every platform together. It is important for this character to work as an anonymous collective rather than a character whose traits are well established. This ensures that personal biases are kept to a minimum as the identity of a voice has a large impact on how a message is received. People can feel like they are a part of something and put a name to the beliefs they are being shown throughout our platforms.

Travel to see the northern lights in a fully digital scene that connects to the real life visuals seen in the projection mapping during the AURORA event. This 3D environment extended the projection mapping into a digital space. The visuals did match 1:1 but needed to be similar visually to connect seamlessly with the projection mapping visuals. The scene was viewable through easy to use VR headset, rendered as a 360 video so only a phone is needed to view the scene.
